Quartz flexible accelerometers is a common high-precision inertial sensors, which have a wide application prospect in low-cost inertial navigation systems.

Quartz Accelerometers are integrated into inertial navigation, inertial guidance or steering systems, which are needed to meet extremely high-performance requirements in terms of stability, accuracy and linearity. Typically, these requirements must be met under harsh conditions, whether at sea, on land, in the air, or through the life circle of the system.

So far only two technologies of accelerometers have risen to the challenge and have demonstrated the right capabilities: Vibrating Beam Accelerometer technology and Quartz Pendulous Accelerometer technology. Since its introduction in the 1990s, THE Quartz Pendulous Accelerometers rapidly became the most widely used accelerometers for high grade inertial navigation applications.
